Landrum High School Cardinals

The Landrum High School Cardinals football team will kick off the 2025 season down toward the Georgia-South Carolina border with a road game against the Walhalla Razorbacks at 7 p.m. Aug. 22.

The first home game at Cardinal Stadium will be at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 29 against Berea. The season finale on Halloween night on the road against fellow Spartanburg County program Chesnee is another game of note as is the Oct. 10 home game with Blacksburg (reasons below).

The Cardinals were 5-5 a season ago and reached the first round of the South Carolina AA playoffs, falling to Central of Pageland, 36-26.

Landrum competes in Class AA, Region I in the state of South Carolina.

Landrum will have a new coach this season Mike Reid takes over as the head coach of the Cardinals this season. He was previously the defensive coordinator at Blacksburg High in Cherokee County. He’s no stranger to Spartanburg County, though, having spent 10 years at Broome High.
