South Carolina legends Pat DiMarco and Stephen Garcia go behind enemy lines on this week’s episode of Tailgate Talks. Former Vanderbilt and NFL cornerback Casey Hayward joins the guys to chop things up about the big game between the Gamecocks and Commodores this Saturday night in Columbia, plus other topics.
Hayward played at Vanderbilt from 2008-11 and squared off against DiMarco and Garcia multiple times during his career. In fact, he was a freshman (08) the last time the Commodores defeated the Gamecocks on the football field, 24-17, on a Thursday night in Nashville, Tenn.
South Carolina won the 2009 contest 14-10 in Columbia, won 21-7 in 2010 in Nashville and won 21-3 in 2011 in Columbia. Those were all hard-fought, competitive contests.
Hayward was a second-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in the 2012 NFL Draft.
