Because of the issues at the position and the massive turnover, much of the focus this offseason for Carolina football has been on the offensive line and the offense in general. The Gamecocks defense, though, has a chance to cycle up a bit in 2026 if a few things break its way and they can replace what they lost. Most importantly, South Carolina like any other team that hopes to win in the Southeastern Conference, has to be stellar on the defensive line. Also, Gamecock men’s basketball got an SEC win last night.
