It will not be long. In just more than one month, high school football in the state of South Carolina will begin yet again in communities small to large around the Palmetto State.
Here’s a preseason poll to chew on for the season- the Massey Ratings from on3 and Rivals. The Massey Ratings are determined by an algorithm, so it’s based on a formula not any sort of subjective opinion.
In a surprise to nobody, nine-time state champion Dutch Fork, which won the 5A championship and went 13-0 last season, is ranked at the top of the poll. The Silver Foxes have evolved into the premier program in the state of South Carolina under the direction of future Hall of Fame head coach Tom Knotts.
Here is the poll, which is Upstate and Midlands heavy.
