Beef Garlic Toast

This is Chicago meets the south as the flavorful Italian Beef goes great with some good old fashioned Texas Toast. Your tailgate crew will be impressed, but be sure to bring extra napkins so they can get the juice off of their fingers!

Ingredients

1 lb of shaved ribeye
Salt and Pepper
Garlic powder
crushed red pepper or Giardiniera (optional). I like the Giardineira personally.
8 oz or 1 package of sliced mozzarella
1 package of garlic Texas toast
1 package of Au Jus mix

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
Lay out he garlic Texas toast and bake in the oven.
Halfway to being done, pull out the Texas Toast
Take a large spoon and depress the middle of each toast to make a well.
Set aside

In a hot skillet with a little oil (LOL) or butter. Stir in the shaved ribeye.
Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
Add the optional crushed red pepper or Giardineira.
Stir til done and spices are well mixed with the meat.

Spoon the meat mixture into each well of the toast and add mozzarella slices.
Put back in the oven until cheese is melted

In the meantime, make the Aus Jus in a saucepan. Then serve in small plastic ramekins for dipping.

I usually cut the toast in half because sometimes they are too big.
