Myrtle Beach High School Seahawks football has a strong, winning tradition in the state of South Carolina. Myrtle Beach has won eight state championships including four since 2000. The state title years were 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984, 2008, 2010, 2013, and 2018.
The Seahawks play home games at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach. Shaw is one of the most prominent figures in program history. Shaw was the coach from 1970-94. He led the Seahawks to 223 wins, four state championships, and 16 conference titles. After his passing in 1994, a scholarship was created in his name to support student-athletes at the school and the stadium was named after him.
